Remarkably unpolished for a game that's been out there for 5 years. WAAAY too much zooming around in the middle of nowhere, and not enough variety of things to do.
I love this game, it is a Star Wars experience that you can fully interact with, and if you roleplay it is even better. Some people trash this game because of the changes it has gone through since it's launch. While I do mourn the loss of fully customizable profession paths, it is not a major issue and does not do a whole lot of detriment to the gameplay. For those who say that this game is terrible compared to other MMO's, they are playing for the sake of playing an MMO. That was not the original intent of this game, Lucasarts and SOE wanted to give Star Wars fans an immersive Star Wars experience and they have done that with flying colors. This game is not meant to played as another MMO, it is meant to be played as if you were actually in the Star Wars universe.
Its been a while but in retrospect this game was really awful. They had a good premise but the implementation was just never there.
Used to be great, but they tossed away everything that made the game unique and fun to play just to pander to WoW loot junkies. F**k you, SOE.
Probably one of the best mmorpgs, but like all the others, boring to me due to lack of story. MMO's should at least have an optional storyline, otherwise its not worth the subscription.
Been playing for nearly 2 years and I've loved every minute of it! A great buy for any Star Wars fan.
