This one has good grahpics and detail. The campain is one big huge map with no loading screens. The map editer is cool, many objects to choose from. The one thing i don't like about this game is no spilt-screen mode and u can't publish maps at all! "and i thought this game would be better then the first, but i was wrong!!
A free roaming African monster that eats all of your spare time. Once you get the hang of things, it's really, really fun, perhaps because of the free-roaming environment, which lets you do your missions any way you'd like. I feel like Jason Bourne in Africa sometimes, I've managed some miraculous escapes and epic battles in this.
Far cry 2 is vastly superior to it's predecessor Far Cry. This version is nothing like the original as it doesn't take place in a tropical setting. It does take place in Africa. You are a mercenary sent to hunt and kill and guy called the Jackle. In the process, you get captured and come down with a bout of malaria.
Everything about this game screams excellence. The graphics are wonderful as well as all the sounds and music.
The A.I. isn't too shabby either. I had one encounter where I thought I jumped off the road in time so a passing car wouldn't see me. Well I guess he did and his tires screeched and they turned around and came after me LOL!
I haven't gotten too far in this game, but so far this is lots to do as the game is pretty much free form, as in GTA meets FarCry.
Big FPS. Lots of mission types to accomplish and an engaging plot and setting. Very much worth the money, and I expect to play through it a few more times. There's a solid multiplayer, but I havent' seen many people playing it.
the game looked good and played good at high res . engine wasnt bad . physics could have been better , but not a train smash . side missions got a bit boring after a while and i think more variety should have been implemented there , like ie: blow that warehouse up . snipe this guy . murder this guy while he sleeps , lock this guy up and burn the house inside by throwing molotov thru windows and blah blah .. stuff like that . not the same thing over and over again .. its got 16+ age restriction on it so yeah i guess it wil do hahahah!!
the AI for me was hilarious .... sometimes doing the most stupid thing ive ever seen ... like speeding off a cliff into a river while chasing me . using a rocket launcher at point blank , killing them selves while blowing up 2 more jeeps was so much LMAO !!!!! the character you pick has a history , but it doesnt come to any effect in the game itself which doesnt help me at all !!! the story was a bit bland in the beginning but the way it unfolds when you almost get to the end is really amazing . i made the right choices and got a satisfying ending :) sad but was good.
the whole africa theme was done well for people who stay over seas but it was lacking some serious wild life . yes we have zebras and buffalo running around in the open fields. but we also have crocodiles and snakes . and heyanas, wild cats as predators. i would have been petrified to even try and swim in the rivers if i knew there would be croc or 2 nearby (^^, ) . could have been bitten and poisoned by a snake which you should also have medication for .
i think they rushed it a bit when they made it . would have been nice to see the animals here and there while driving on the out skirts of the maps . keeping in mind its a war-torn country
you cant compare this to crysis as its a whole diffrent engine even though its ubisoft making it and even though both games are wide area roaming capable . the engine changes it alot.
