The true Red Alert game or not, this is still much of a debate by forumers, journalists and pretty much everyone. In the end, the game truly achieved what a Real Time Strategy game should be in every way, with a nice Hollywood style movies as a bonus content. But the game have been interrupted by constant internet problem to make it a perfect game
The C&C series, having been a classic, seemed to have died out with the first Red Alert. As they churned out RA2, C&C3 and ultimately RA3, it just didn't quite cut it anymore.
Definetely the weakest game in the series. To summarize, it's Red Alert 2. Except it's slightly worse. EA has yet to show any interest in actually reviving the C&C series.
The game has arrived and it has reall passed with flying colour.....a good job done by EALA.
I have the beta, and so far it seems like a good game, far better than CNC3.
As one of the 12,000+ Beta testers, I want to establish some things to eager RA fans...
The multiplayer... Kicks some serious fucking ass. Balance is generally great, graphics are nice, the units are responsive (Sometimes a bit bugged... Bah, it'll be fixed in the final game), and the music rocks.
One of EA's first good games.
