Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare

Excellent game! (and on the cutting edge of console/PC gaming) Even though the next Call of Duty is out, I still come back and play this one because it's the only quality game out there with realistic, modern weapons.

Excellent game! All around good game play and story line. Weapons are very realistic and the story progresses logically.

Awesome online multiplayer, absolutely breath taking amount of detail espeically when gaming at a HD level. I recommend it to anyone who loves the FPS genre and some hardcore online gameplay!

BEST GAME IN THE COD FRANCHISE!!! This game rocked my socks off. Call of Duty was already a decent first person shooter, but the transition from WWII (which is a greatly overdone setting) into modern times, combined with an amazing (but sadly short) single player campaign and a thriving online community makes this a MUST-HAVE game.

It doesn't reinvent the genre, but it CERTAINLY raises the bar for future FPSes. Just, an amazing game in general. Although it does get a bit odd to see Captain Price reappearing randomly...

The story of terrorists taking over Russian nukes is cliche, and there are some hardpoints (the worst being at the Ferris wheel in Chernobyl), and there are a few times when you really want it to save but it doesn't, but other than that it's excellent.

I'm very pleased with the graphics and the majority of the weapons. It doesn't have an unrealistic lack of color like Call of Duty 2.

Sometimes it's hard to choose between all of the excellent weapons available. By far the best weapon is the M16 with the grenade launched, but I also enjoyed the Mp5, the autosniper, the shotgun, and the regular M16s. The RPGs and airstrikes were difficult to use.

I was pleasantly surprised at the ability to shoot vicious dogs in the game, but once they're on top of you it's very hard to knife them in time.

Even if you're tired of all of the Call of Duty games set in World War II, in fact especially if you're tired of them, you'll likely enjoy the combat and gameplay of Call of Duty 4.

aweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeesome. it was a great game especially those mission 15 YEARS AGO WHEN I( CAP.PRICE) WAS A LEUITENANT or in other words ACT 2. But it was a very very short game u can finish it in almost 3hrs this is the point which goes against this master piece. but still aweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeesome

One of the best linear shooters available. It's as on-rails as it gets, but it delivers an incredibly convincing war experience while still being fun as hell and incredibly dramatic. It's like playing through an incredibly intense, well-paced and plotted movie. Great shocking twists in the middle, too. Overall the feel of the combat and the shooting are very good, too.

The first actually moving FPS game. Wonderful.

The MP is great, too, with upgradable soldier loadouts and an rpg-lite system that's very addictive.

Some missions have especially haunting moments while the characters that fight alongside you are greatly memorable. Spectacular game

This was a great game with some awesome storytelling choices. It took me a while to go with the "multiple character" conceit, bt once I committed to it, it was great. I still would have liked some actual cutsceneage to round out the experience a bit, but I get what they were up to and respect their choice not to do them. Overall a very fun game with a very wide variety of mission structures and gameplay elements. Definitely the best game as far as sniping gameplay implementation that I've ever experienced.
