Quote-leftI love this gaem, the guitar that they made with it, and most of their music. However if you don't like the music, there is over 200$ worth of DLC so, I love it, plus it gets the family invovled.Quote-right

Quote-leftThis game is amazing. It is a nice break from stabbing civilians in assassins creed or killing terrorists in COD4. Eventhough the single player is fun, this game is really meant to be played with 2-4 people. Don't let the price scare you away, it will seem like a steal after you've played for a while.Quote-right

Quote-leftGame is pretty damn cool aka the drums. songs are mostly poop. this game needs more bands that dont suck and it would get a perfect score in my book. gotta have drum pads when playing in order for some bounce on the sticks and silence the awful clank noise. addictive game though. glad people caught on to music games. now its time for parrappa 2Quote-right

Quote-leftThe set list leaves a little to be desired, but at least there are a ton of songs (and a still a bunch more than can be downloaded), so if you have to play some crappy songs you don't have to play the same ones over and over and over and over and over again like in GH. It's considerably easier than GH3 (at least for guitar, anyway) and the actual mechanics of the game aren't quite as good as GH3. However, the way you can hit "star power" even if you're using it is nice, and the way you can "save" failed bandmates is good.Quote-right

Quote-leftUnfortunately it's practically impossible to think about Rock Band without comparing it to That Other Franchise. By doing this, however, I rather miss the point. I can lament the stuttered animation in Rock Band, the apparently murkier sound quality, the curiously forgiving (and therefore easier) mechanics and the bloody annoying hammer-on/pull-of indicators; I can praise the (ever-increasing) setlist and the amusing music-video-esque breaks in the performances but all I'm doing is pedantic and ignoring the fundamental reason anyone would play games of this ilk: both Rock Band and That Other Franchise do exactly the same thing and they do it well. Both give you an entertaining and reasonably diverse mix of tunes to listen to while widdling away on a Fisher Price instrument, no more, no less.Quote-right

Quote-leftThe good news is there's not competitive online mode, just coop. Gameplay is not as good as Guitar Hero, but one of these days they'll realize that and fix the hammer-on system.Quote-right

Quote-leftI recently imported this from the UK, definately worth the extra $2 to have it b4 the rest of Australia :DQuote-right

Quote-leftOne the best games ever. I like how you can download extra songs, but I don't like how ridiculously exorbitant the prices are. Also, I am shocked that once again, they turned out a rock-themed music game that doesn't include Heart, Janis Joplin, Bonnie Rait, The Go-Gos, Blondie, Joan Jett, Pat Benetar, Fleetwood Mac or Cindi Lauper in the origina, undownloaded playlist.Quote-right

Quote-leftGood game simply b/c of the drums. However, the guitar and drumset are terrible quality. I have already repaired the foot pedal with a kit I found online, and I don't even play it that hard. Also, the guitar didn't function well the moment I took it out of the box. I ended up buying Guitar Hero just to have a decent guitar.Quote-right

Quote-leftlike guitar hero, except retangles instead of circles, and it compleats the dream band setup, has a decent playlist, and world tour mode is a must play with friends.Quote-right
